I think the iPod will really help Apple. I mean, you got these stores that are really just huge advertisements. And if they are magnetised enough, people will go into the stores and buy a new computer. It is the time of new OSes and people really now have a choice of staying with their conventional OS or chaning. Apple is trying to get a leg up and in wtih this idea of getting people. Most computer users don't really feel the need for anything more than a type writer with web access. Apple is trying to show that the computer is more and with Mac OS X, iPod, and other various products, that they can help users get the most out of their comptuers.
The store fronts will make people stop. If they stop, maybe they will go into the store. If they go into the store, they will look around. If they look around, maybe they will find something they want to buy, maybe just an ethernet or USB cord, or maybe a comptuer. But, the idea of the iPod is emenselly powerful.
Apple has been the most innovative company when it comes to portables for about the past year and a half. Apple knows exaclty what it is doing, and they will continue to, as long as they start boosting advertisements....GEEZ!
