I recently purchased a HP 952C printer for my Imac DV. I am very satisfied with the quality of this printer but I have what one tech called horizontal overpring, one word printing on top of another within a horizontal line of print. It was suggested that I download the new driver which I did and clean teh mylar strip inside, both of which changed nothing. I have since realized that this problem seems to be occurring only when I print directly from the internet. I can print a doc from the internet and get overprint, then copy the same doc into my word processor and the overpring is not there. I read on one of the support board of this problem in one of the 800 machines and it was attributed to post script fonts vs true type fonet and it said they were working on it. Does anyone have any information that might help me figure this out or understand it. The last tech I talked with suggested I send my printer in for repair... I have a hard time thinking that is going to do anything when it is just 3 weeks from teh date I removed it from the box. I'd appreciate any ideas you have.

Thanks

carla

I have exactly the same problem when printing directly from the internet on my Epsom 760. When the doc is copied to appleworks ensure that "fractional font width" is selected. Otherwise the same problem would occur. I don't think there is a fault with your printer.
