I need to be able to use my iSight with AIM 6.0 under Windows XP Pro.

Where can I find drivers that would work? Boot Camp 1.1.2 doesn't install any. I'm using an external iSight.

Thanks.

I heard that the latest release of bootcamp has drivers for it. Are you using the latest version?

I'm using bootcamp 1.1.2. That's the latest version. I've heard that there are no drivers for external iSights. Only the built in ones on the iMacs, MacBook's and MacBook Pro's.

There's got to be a way.

However, if there isn't, you guys can still help me. All I need is a way to video chat with someone who is using aim 6.0 on a PC. It hasn't worked so far using iChat (Communication Errors and such), but I'm not familiar with what other chat clients there are for OS X. Maybe a different one will work.

Let me know what else there is.

Thanks.

Please, it's kind of urgent. I simply need a way to video chat with someone on a PC. Theres gotta be either a driver for the iSight in windows, or an alternative to iChat in Mac OS X.

Thanks.

iChat and AIM are compatible (including for video chat), or at least they are theoretically (I've never tried personally).

Well, obviously they're supposed to be. But it doesn't always work. Sometimes it's just a matter of something to do with the internet connection or something. In any case, is there another program for Mac OS X besides iChat that can video chat with AIM on a PC?

Really? iChat always works for me with no problem when I'm talking to my Windows AIM-using friends.

I use trillian and it works fine. Trillian connects to aim, msn, yahoo, icq, and a couple of others. Also, it doesnt install a bunch of other crap on your computer like aim does.

Trillian, huh. I'll check it out. By the way, I bought my iSight in September. So I assume that's the latest Rev.

edit: That program is for windows.. . I wanna find a way to do this out of OS X, unless I can find iSight drivers for windows.

the external iSight is (what I've heard) just for OSX. Than again, there could be someone who made a write around for it to work with windows.

BTW macgeek, I dunno if you figured it out or not, but I was joking with you earlier.
