Pardon my ignorance. Is there such a beast???? A external firewire enclosure that holds more than one drive? I have a Western Digital FW now, 120gig and running out of room fast (10 gigs left, so practically, i'm out of room, since you're not suppose to fill HD's up to the brim).

anyone heard of these things?

some external enclosures let you easily remove one drive and put in another. this seems a good way to increase your storage and have a simple way of storing sensitive drives/data off-site or transporting them.

I've never seen a firewire enclosure that has space for more than one drive. that isn't saying they don't exist.

I'm thinking about getting their FireVue hot swappable drive. It has removable bays that hold standard IDE drives that slide in to the enclosure. It's $260 for the enclosure and bay, you supply your own drive. Any one hve any experience with this company? Are the products any good? The service?
