Just thought I'd bring this question over from the PowerMac forum....

Does anybody have any experience with the Onkyo MSE-U33HB or SE-U55 USB audio devices? Or does anyone know of any reviews of either one?

I'm despairing of finding a simple line-in/line-out audio card for my Sawtooth G4 that supports deep sleep. Most of the cards either don't support sleep, or are hellishly expensive (with a lot of MIDI stuff I won't use), or both.

If I'm going go the external route, I'd rather go a little higher-end than the iMic. The Onkyo seems to occupy a middle ground between the iMic and the Yamaha CAVIT systems, so maybe it's just what I'm looking for.

(Side note: I'm also considering the Formac Studio firewire box and just using the audio side of it for now. But I'd be paying a fair bit extra for the video goodies -- though the firewire aspect is cool. )

Thanks for any help.
