Im shopping around for a cdrw external drive for my ibook.
I realise firewire is best but I have limited funds and usb suits my budget better.
Ive found a drive by imation that is 4x4x6 usb and its dirt cheap ($380 AUS) or around $180 US.
I downloaded the spec sheet and it looks fine. Not a bad looking drive either. Its RRP is $599 AUS or around $320 US, but its a super special at a local online store.
Has anyone had experience with these drives? I know imation is a fairly good brand, for cd media anyway. I dont want to be stuck with a problem drive, but I cant find reviews of this one anywhere online.
Any input would be appreciated (other than fw vs usb arguments thanks).
