Ok, I have the opportunity to get the Maxtor 80gig External for $300. I can't really find a better deal than that. So now my question, is it any good? Will it be hard to set up? It says compatable with Mac right on the box, but will I have to do any extra formatting or anything? I don't really like the fact that it isn't bus powered, but due to the size and cost (discount at Best Buy) I'm willing to live with it. BTW, I'm on an iBook Dual USB DVD. Any advice would be great, thanks.

All glory to the hypnotoad.

I'm using an internal 80 gig Maxtor as a second drive in my desktop G4. It has worked flawlesly. It did not require any special formating.
