Apple says 2-4 weeks, but I wouldn't be surprised if some start showing up here and there over the next week or so.

order a new 10gig on wed. july 17th, and received an email from apple on friday stating that the ipods were delayed and they would try to get them out in the next 20 BUSINESS days. thatys worse than 2-4 weeks, its 4-5 weeks.

I would expect the Apple Stores to get limited supply a little sooner then the first online orders. Like the FP iMac, I bet supplies are tight early, and then there will be a surplus later on. (X-Mas clearout deals anyone?)
