Question about the Apple ADC/DVI connector...

I have a dualie G4 with DVI & ADC connectors... currently driving a 21" CRT using a DVI->VGA connector... I was wondering about adding a 2nd monitor and spanning them, but would need to use the ADC connector on the graphics card....

The Apple ADC DVI connector only has language about converting a DVI signal to ADC (at the monitor), vs. ADC at the graphics card and DVI at the monitor... does it work in both fashions?

In general:
If you have an ADC port on your graphics card and a DVI port on your monitor: The $20 "simple" pin adapter will work; it looks like a short cable with a connector on each end.
If you have a DVI port on your graphics card and an ADC port on your monitor: You need the $100 converter; it has one connector on one end and 3 connectors on the other end.
