I've been looking for an external FireWire storage solution for some time now. I'd pretty much decided on a Maxtor drive before I saw this one, though Maxtor does seem to have a pretty good reputation.

I wouldn't be doing anything terribly fancy with it, probably just backup and general storage. I have a 400MHz FireWire iMac DVSE running OS9.1 and a 466MHz FireWire iBook SE running X10.0.2 (as of today ).
