Hi

Is it possible to do a GPRS/EDGE connection over the IR port with Mac OS X?
Or the only way to do such a connection is over the Bluetooth interface?

Thank you and best Regards

The Apple Remote port does not support IRDA. So, unless you have a Powerbook G3, (I think), you don't have an appropriate port anyway.

Thanks for your answer, unfortunately I don't understand it. Maybe my notation is to bad

For now a GSM phone modem has been used to connect to the internet over a PowerBook IR port with Mac OS X, no problems at all, only limited bandwidth and high costs.

The question is now, is it possible to connect to the internet over the IR port and use the GSM phone GPRS or EDGE or UMTS capabilities?
