I have all my music on a PC because I recorded all my old cassettes, etc there. I ordered a PC iPod this past week. I was wondering if it would be possible to sync with the PC, then use the iPod2iTunes program to transfer all this stuff to my mac after I get it on the iPod. I'd love to have it all in both places.

Also, what is the difference b/w the two models? It seems that maybe the HD's are formatted differently, there is a 6 pin to 4 pin converter on the PC one, and maybe there will be the MusicMatch software on the PC one. Will iCal and iSync and address book stuff be on the PC version?

I don't think you will see iSync, or iCal on the PC iPod. That, I guess, is the lure. The following is a copy of what's included with the iPod PC version from Apples tech page.

Earbud headphones, AC adapter, FireWire cable; support for optional remote control; PC model includes 4-pin to 6-pin FireWire adapter.

So both the cable and adaptor are included with your model. But, it sound like you answered your own question on that. As far as transferring to your mac, I don't know.
