I ordered RAM through a company online, and instead of giving me PC100 RAM like my machine takes, they gave me RAM with a sticker on it that says PC133. I went ahead and put it in and it is working fine. I have the newest RAM checking firmware installed and it still loads up and everything. Is this a bad idea? Does the machine automatically downclock the RAM? Any feedback is appreciated before my machine explodes.
Thanks,
Charlie

Its fine - your PC133 will automatically be downclocked to PC100 2-2-2 and run without a problem.

Cipher is right it is the same thing as putting in a ATA100 hard drive into your system when it is only running at 66 so it will just slow dow, compaird to the 100, but the ram will be the same as pc 100.

Not to mention that the RAM will be upwards compatible if you ever upgrade to a newer G4. (Assuming Apple doesn't change the RAM specs again with the next generation of G4 machines.)
