Can you use Apple's pro mouse (the optical one) with a PC?

I mean, will it work because it's USB? or no?

Yes it works. I've seen someone using this mouse on a Toshiba Satellite laptop. Give it a try!

Yep, works really well, actually. On an interesting note, Win98SE even detects the mouse as being an Apple mouse.

If it only had the second button and scroll wheel, though... I think I'll keep my Pro Mouse on my Mac... I depend too much on the second mouse button when I'm working on a Windows PC...

Actually, it's more like the mouse tells Win98 that it's from Apple. USB devices send identification signals when they get connected, including type and manufacturer.
