Does anyone have any experience with these printers, pro or con?

OR -- if you've purchased a tabloid-sized printer lately, are you happy with it?

Thanks, T

The GCC 20 series is the old Apple LaserWriter 8500. When Apple discontinued the printer line, they sold the rights to GCC. We have some old Apple's as well as their current GCC equivalents in our office. They seem to work OK. A little slow to the first page for my taste, but once the first sheet starts printing, they come out quickly.

We've used an older Elite XL 808 in my office for roughly 5 years now – 133,338 pages printed – and it has proven to be fairly reliable. It has been services a couple of times (bad fuser) and of course it wasn't cheap to repair but has been fine since.

Toner is expensive however, catridges are $199/ea. from GCC. But, as a 11x17 full bleed printer, it is excellent and would recommend one highly.
