112D probably supports burning at 18x... that's the only new feature I can think of since the 111D was released.

I have the Pioneer DVR-112D in my Mac Pro as the Master and the stock Sony drive as the slave and if I leave a disk in the 112D drive for long enough for it to spin down, it won't eject properly. The computer becomes very laggy and unresponsive for about 15 seconds, then it spins up and unmounts the disc icon from the desktop.... then it remounts on the desktop as if I just inserted the disc. Now it's spinning again and I can eject it again and it comes right out. Anyone else have this problem. I get the same problem with every aftermarket SuperDrive I tried. I tried the Pioneer DVR-109AB, I've tried the 112D and even an NEC-3500AG. I think it's a bug with the Mac Pro but, I can hardly find any info about anyone else having this problem.

Since I don't own any of these dvd burners, I can only refer you to the reviews for each one of them.

Pioneer DVR-111
Pioneer DVR-112
