I am very new to the Mac being a recent switcher. Still trying to get my arms around everything.
I have been trying to create a Video Server and in order to mass import some media CD/DVDs I am trying to use the Sony VGP-XL1B2 with Firewire connected to my Mac. Mac is not supported by Sony. I am pretty good at finding stuff, help etc. but I am stumpted. I have bits and pieces of information on MythTV and mtx and python scripts and it is making my head spin. If someone knows what on earth these "smart" people are talking about and if there is a simple way of doing it I would appreciate it or If you could guide me to a particular Forum where I could get an answer or assistance I would appreciate it. I found some free Mac software which was build for a similar product Powerline which no longer sells the product. I could use it as long as I could get the powerline software.
BTW it is one cool product. Daisy chain 4 of them and rip a 1000 CDs. I can do it on windows but I just got rid of my machine and have a Mac.
