Although the Apple store is still quoting 2-3 weeks for the new iPods, the Apple retail stores are quoting August first as the date for the Macintosh versions.

I went in to the Apple Store at Rockingham Park (Salem, NH) to ask about it and they told me August first. I could not pay for it or put any money down but the had me enter information about what I wanted and about myself into a database on a new 17" iMac. They will call me when it arrives.

Did they say if both versions would be available August 1, or just the new 10 GB model? I heard the 20GB was going to be out a little later.
