I have a "older" 10 GB iPod that I use solely in my car since I travel alot....therefore, my iPod is in my car at all times and is pro-longed to very hot conditions during the summer months. Does anybody have any idea what the long term effects of this could do to my iPod? It is covered; however, that doesn't make any difference when it's 105 degrees out for a week straight.

Any insight would be very appreciative.

Thanks.

Massive heat and electronics usually don't mix very well.

Apple's documentations says, "Do not store your iPod in a place where the temperature will exceed 70 degrees C (158 F)."
