Apple's model have been touted as better in it's colour, and digital specs than others. But it's still a couple hundred more than say NEC or Samsung.

Given the plethora of LCD displays and their sudden affordability, do you think Apple will drop the price of their 15" flat display soon.

With MWNY around the corner, I'm hoping they don't discontinue the 15" model but lower the cost and introduce 18" and 24" versions.

Well, if they're going to discontinue the 17" CRT, it would make good business sense to drop prices on the 15" LCD so that it makes a feasible alternative.

I agree. I've also heard that LCD prices are continuing to fall, so there's a good chance Apple will be dropping that LCD price in the near future.
