Hello everyone, I am very close to deciding towards the 15" ASD. I just need the extra push to put me over the edge! I know Aplle's LCD's are probably the best out there, if you fill the 15" LCD with a solid color (black or other) is the color solid/uniform throughout the whole screen? that is one test I like to see when comparing LCD's. Have owners found any color limitations? This are the only subjects I am concerned with (color) and overall uniformity. I have seen LCD's which look overly saturated and unnatural (dead pixels too!), The only reason I am looking for more reasurance on my decision is because other posts say that the monitor is excellent unless you do very accurate color work. As far as how accurate? I am not sure how "off" the 15" LCD is, all I want it for is for web design/logo/print development and daily tasks. I am not a gamer nor will I be a Pro until I finish Graphic Design 3 years from now! Thanks for all your info, I really learn and value the advice from the experts on this site!

I recently bought a cube and was torn between getting the 15" LCD or the 17" CRT. After looking at both, I opted for the 15", based mostly on the looks and the slim form factor. To me the LCD is fine, looking straight at it, all colors are bright and vibrant (and no dead pixels either! ). I do notice subtle color variations (mostly on blacks or whites) when viewing it from the side however, but its not enough to bother me. I'm not a professional graphic artist or anything however, so my opinion may not be the best one. Suffice it to say, I am thrilled with the quality of this monitor. Hope this helps in some way,

Shawn

The Apple 15" LCD is a superb display, although you might want to consider waiting a few months if you can, as the falling prices of LCDs in the industry might push Apple to drop the price themselves.
