Why is it STILL so slow??!
I'm using 10.1.3 on my TiBook 667 and getting 1 or 2Mb a minute for small file transfers. There's nothing wrong with the drive. It works fine on my PC. I have Iomegaware installed too!
Any tips?
Any tips on how to get what version IomegaWare I have would be nice too. I have the version they first released, but I'm not sure if there's a newer one out.

IomegaWare will have no effect on that sort of thing in OSX since the drive will use X's builtin drivers. IomegaWare in OSX is just for formatting disks and such.
Either way, this sort of thing is MUCH slower in X than 9 for some reason. Transferring 40MB of mp3s to a PocketZip disk (for the Iomega Hipzip player) takes about 5 times longer for me in OSX than 9.
Anybody have any ideas?

I thought iomegaware would incorporate drivers, not that I have examined this though, just as with the PC version.
Its such a pain. My iPod is nice and brisk, but the zip drive is sooo annoying!

Well, the iPod is fast because it uses FireWire instead of USB to connect to the computer...
