I was thinking about buying one of the HP photosmart printers. But before I do I would like to know for those who have them......can you print 4X6 prints from iPhoto??
I would like to add I had purchased, and returned a Canon S900 b/c I was unable to print the 4X6 photos in iPhoto.

HP recently announced some new printers which resist fading for a long time. They are the 7550, 7350, and 7150. I haven't been able to find any details regarding the question of whether any of these printers are networkable. I'd like one that I can stick on my network without peripheral attachments.

red44dog44..thanks for the reply. Glad to know that they will work.
warnergt..I whole heartedly agree. Some of these manf. should be incorporating 802.11b into these printers or at least have it as an option. Although I do think Epson has a model that allows for a Airport Card.

The information you are seeking is widely available at HP's web site. If you have problems finding this information simply email me and I will be glad to forward on the information you are seeking. The photo printers use a 6 color system that is vastly superior to the previous printers for printing photographs. They print at 4800X1200 on HP's premium plus photo paper and all are fitted with 4X6 photo trays which is in addition to the normal 8.5X11 tray. HP also provides a wireless print server which is compatible with HP printers. How do I know all this.......I am an HP vendor rep.

Just bought a 7550, which is a fine printer, I'm sure. It makes lovely prints direct from the SmartMedia card. But I'd like to use it as a computer printer, and it turns out that there's a small problem there: NO DRIVERS FOR 10.2.(' ')
When I tried to install the software that came with the printer, which is said to be for Windows, OS9, or "OS X 10.1 or later", I get a message that in fact it is for 10.1 ONLY, and won't even install on a 10.2 system. The message says to check www.hp.com/support for newer drivers - but the H-P drivers site has nothing at all for a 7550 (search turns up 0 results), not even the old ones on the CD.(' ')
H-P has been chronically slow in producing drivers, but this comes close to misrepresentation: why doesn't "10.1 or later" include 10.2?
Does anyone know how to make GimpPrint work with this printer? That is, which of the available HP drivers might work?
