The title says it all. Is it worth spending 500 on the Studio Display or is there a better display for that price? I'm not just talking about size, I care more about quality. Thanks.

I love my 17" Studio display it complemnts the G4 very nicely. With the gray and Ice. For quality you can't get much better up to 1600x1200 res I personaly never put it above 1024x768. with my G4 on the floor tucked away I love useing the power button. It would be stupid to chose any other monitor if you are getting a G4 and the price is right.

I like my Studio Display too. If you have cats, though, don't use the fish/whales screensaver module which comes with OS X--it's too realistic. My monitor now has all these vertical scratches where the kitties got a little too excited.

I prefer the Sony brand 19 and 21 inch monitors. My favorite is the 400ps and 500ps. They don't make them anymore, so you could find some great deals out there. I own two 400ps's, But I plan to switch to one 500ps in the future.
