Hi,

I have a PCI ATA133 card that came with a HD I just bought. Naturally, in the lit that came with the package there is no info on whether or not this card can be used in a Mac.

I would like to poll for advice: 1) Can the card actually be used in my G4 400 single proc machine, running osX 10.1.3? 2) If yes, do I need a driver for this? If yes, I assume it's available from the Maxtor website.

Reading the message just below asking "ATA-133/100/66/33 PCI Card shootout" I assume that it's okay to use the ATA133 - but I would like a bit of advice before plugging anything in.

The Maxtor card will not work. You need a card that has a Mac firmware on it (more than a driver) from Sonnet, ACard or SIIG (all made by Acard).
