I'm thinking about buying the new case that the new iPods come with. Does anybody know what the face looks like? Like can you see the screen and scroll the wheel, etc? Thanks.

This has been asked around. No one seems to know anything beyond what the picture at the Apple web site. There seems to be a general consensus that there is no access to the iPod thru the front of the case, but again, know one know for sure. I would wait until there is some feed back to make sure you get what your looking for. Have you considered other cases, in my quest for a case I have found there is a huge amount of choice, from fabrics, wetsuits, leather, and plastic, and combinations with all kinds of colors and patterns. Go here http://www.ipodlounge.com/reviews_cases.asp , its a good place to start and you might be happier with money you spend.

Yesterday on TechTv's "Frsh Gear" they did a whole show on Macworld, and in one of the segments, they showed the iPod in its new case.
The case's front does not have a hole for the scrollwheel, it's simply a flat case, where you have to take the iPod out to navigate it.

Whoops, I thought I posted this in the iPod forum. Thanks slider. That's a bummer about the case. Maybe I'll reconsider that purchase.

I didn't mean to confuse you with my sig, I think there should be an iPod Forum, so I protest with sig. There is a poll to bring in an iPod forum in this forum which I encourage you to vote on either way.

The wired remote control on the new headphones lets you fast forward, rewind, play/pause, and control the volume, so I suppose quickly accessing the wheel isn't needed as much.

But you do need to shell out another $39 though....
