I need a smartmedia card reader. FireWire would be nice, but USB is probably all that is out there and would be fine.

Also, does anyone have experiences using any of the readers with OSX? I am trying to go OSX all the way, and do not want to have to reboot to use the reader if possible.

by the way, this is for a new iBook (dual USB).

I looked at a firewire reader but it was like $40, compared to $20 for the USB version.

where did you find the firewire reader?

my order of preference is this:

1- firewire that works on OSX
2- USB that works on OSX
3- firewire on OS 9
4- USB on OS 9

I saw one at a local MicroCenter, can't remember it's brand.

Right now I don't trust anything to work in OSX, but I do know that my US CF reader works.
