On boot up, my 17" bondi blue Apple Studio Display regularly displays a fixed resolution of 1072 x768. No other resolution options are displayed in the Monitors Control Panel. The problem is only resolved by shutting down and removing the power cable for a few seconds and then restarting. Trashing all monitor prefs does not always solve it. I run a G4/400 tower.

What madness is this?
Thanks
Stephen

Try shutting down the monitor first and then shut down the mac. Restart the Mac using the power button, give it enough time to fully boot up and then restart the monitor. This may restore all the resolutions.
