Hi...

I'm currently upgrading an old PowerMac 7300 with different stuff, I'm going to buy a G3- or G4-Upgrade-Card soon.
But first things first: I know there are ATA133- Cards for Macintosh available, and I also have a 80GB Maxtor Harddrive in my PC which I don't need right now.

Is it possible to buy such an ATA133-Card, connect my Maxtor-Harddrive to it and use this drive afterwards as only Volume? I mean, is it really possible to boot from this harddrive if there's no SCSI-Harddrive available in the computer, only the SCSI-CDROM?

Or is it possible to use a ATAPI-CDWriter with this ATA133-Controller? I do have a Plextor 12/10/32 ATAPI-Writer, which I would love to use in my Mac. I've heard somewhere that's possible, but I want to make sure it works before I spend any money on something I can't really use.

Thanks in advance...
