Just wondering which display you guys would recommend. I've got a Black MacBook 2.0CD, normal specs. I don't do any gaming. I like to watch DVDs and music videos and like to have a lot of space for all my apps and toolbars. I've considered either the 20" or 23" Apple displays, or going the much cheaper route and getting a 20" or 22" Dell FPW display. I'm not really sure which is the best route to go. I like the Apple displays mainly because of the brand and the casing and look of them, then again the black Dell display would go well with the black MacBook. As far as specs and actual quality, I'm not really sure which is the better buy.

What would you guys suggest?
2.3 GHz Intel i5 MacBook Pro
iPhone 4 - 16 GB - Black
8gb iPod Nano

The 22" Dell is the same res as the 20" Dell, just more expensive.

You want the 24" Dell. It looks fantastic and has a ton of features (multiple video inputs, 4 degree of freedom stand, card reader, etc).

I second the 24" dell for your application. I've had a 20" Dell DVI display with multiple inputs for a few years and really really like it - the fact that I can use a KVM switch to go between multiple machines and the monitor supports vga as well as dvi? Shoot, that's great. I recently brought home a Dell 30" display as well and the only bad thing I have to say about it is that it does not support multiple inputs.

I just ordered the Dell UltraSharp 2407FPW days ago and it's on sale at dell.com. If you are a Costco member, the price is about the same. Anyway, it comes with 3-yr warranty, which is nice.

Apple display is nice, but limited to DVI output.

DVI KVM switch (e.g. IoGear) is possible, but if you hook up an Apple keyboard, I noticed that not all Mac-centric keys will work.
