I have this hard drive enclosure Products- PHR-100AC- FireWire 1394/USB2.0 External Storage Enclosure for 3.5" HDD
and an internal hard drive that I put in it. But whenever I plug it in (with or without connecting it to my computer), the hard drive spins constantly and it never sleeps. What concerns me is that it gets really really warm. Since it gets warm I never leave it plugged in.
So, why won't my hard drive sleep?
Thanks!!
ps do all enclosures have this problem? That's why I'm thinking of getting a premade external like the western digital my books
