I'm new here. I don't want people to think I'm spamming for my site or anything because my first post has a link to it. There are no ads there.

Anyway, long story short, there are not many options for bluetooth keyboards for Macs, mice either. I couldn't find anything online about connecting "incompatible" bluetooth devices (such as the Desktop Elite) to a Mac, so I decided to just go out and try it. I had good luck with my previous wireless (usb) Desktop Elite, and figured there was a good chance I could get the bluetooth to work.

It works just as well as the wireless USB version. I am quite happy, and would venture to say Microsoft's other Bluetooth sets work about equally well. I hope this (through the grace of MacNN and google's many, all-touching appendages) may help others like me, when researching alternative peripherals for their mac.

To really make it look like you weren't spamming (don't worry, I believe you) for your site, you should have included the most relevant bit:

The IntelliPoint and IntelliType drivers work with the Bluetooth desktop.

I had no idea that was the case, and it was a large part of the reason I haven't taken a close look at MS's Bluetooth sets. I finally grudgingly sprung for a Logitech S530, which looks really good next to my iMac G5, but isn't Bluetooth. It pains me to have to clog a USB port with an RF dongle when so many Macs have built-in Bluetooth.

Anyway, thanks for the tip.
