I posted before, but got no responses around the holidays. So I will try again. I will probably upgrading my wallstreet 292, in the next 6 months to the TiG4 (after some improvements are announced). In the mean time, I need to get a fast CD-RW (e.g. Lacie 16 X vs. QPS 16 X). Therefore, I would prefer to purchase a firewire based drive, as eventually I won't have built- in scsi. Does anyone have experience using any of these firewire drives (or others) with one of the available firewire cardbus adapters (e.g. Orange micro Orangelink firewire cardbus, vs. vst vs. macally). If so, I am interested in knowing whether this will work fine with my wallstreet. Lacie's technical staff says they wouldn't support it. QPS says it should work fine, but won't guarantee it. Any recommendations ?
