As the topic title asks...: "Is there any such print server that supports bi-directional commands (like remaining ink levels, remaining paper, cleaning commands) on Mac OS 9-X, Windows XP, and Windows Vista?
I have an Epson C86, which has served me very well ever since i got it 3 years ago. I now wish to share it with everyone on my home network (who all use different operating systems).

I haven't tried checking the print levels or anything like that yet, but my NetGear WGPS606 has been a great wireless print server:
WGPS606 - NETGEAR.com
It's pretty slick that it not only has two USB ports to connect two printers, but it's also a wireless bridge with 4x10/100 ethernet ports. I picked a refurb unit up at Fry's for $40 (quite a steal), but even the retail price is really competitive with other wireless print servers considering it's both a wireless bridge and print server.
I'll check out the bi-directional stuff this weekend and let you know how it works.

Sorry, no luck on the bi-directional. I can tell it to clean the rollers, print out a test page, and all that stuff, but I can't get any info back from the printer on paper supply or ink levels.
