I have a Kensington mouse-in-a-box optical ($20!! after rebate). i love the tracking. I don't like the feel and I think it's due to the 2 side buttons. It seems I can't really grip the mouse securely to move it around freely or pick it up because the side buttons engage. Is there a way to disable these? I can't find an option to do so in the control panel (Mouseworks).

Also, I'm one of the minority who truly likes a one button mouse (love the new pro mouse, but not sure if it would work with a beige G3 with usb card), but I'm getting used to the right click button. My work is in the graphics industry (Quark, Freehand, Photoshop) and am not sure what function the scroll wheel can serve. Any suggestions for the wheel or config of the other buttons from others who use the same apps?

First of all, if you don't have the latest version of mouse-in-a-box software, you can get it here: http://www.kensington.com/
Go into "control panels" in your "apple menu items" Select "kensington mouseworks" Click "settings for all other programs"Click "buttons" Set the 2 offending buttons preferences, and the prefs for the keying of both buttons together,(three in all), to "keystrokes." When the option window for "keystrokes" comes up, click OK without putting anything in.
Now nothing will happen if you inadvertently click the 2 side buttons, either separately or at the same time.
