Hello to all reader
I have a problem using my Logitech optical mouse under the latest driver 4.03. Problem occur went I update my driver from 4.02 to 4.03 and after reboot my i Mac 500, before the computer can load every thing in my desk top, my system hang. So I go to the Extension and deselect 3 extension from the driver, everything goes fine.
But if I would to use back my previous driver, the system will still crash on me. Anybody here know what's my problem? Please give me a hand on this. I really like my mouse the way it use to be.

try removing the logitech drivers from your system and using USB overdrive instead.

If you have snapz pro installed, the logitech drivers will not load and crash on startup.

You have to remove snapz pro (they say to reorder the extensions so the mouse driver loads first, but this did not work for me. To reorder the extensions, just name the mouse driver with an AA in front of it or something so it is first alphabetically)

I've also found an odd conflict with Logitech and BBEdit 6.x demo.

If not, and you want to install the older version:

In order to fully uninstall the new version, do a search and delete, then reinstall the older version cleanly. You should be able to get the old version from the Logitech web site.

USB Overdrive is an option, but there's the usual shareware fee and to be honest I like the Logitech drivers much better.

I just had a client today with this exact problem (finder quits - freezing on restart or shut down - nasty stuff).

I solved it by replacing all the mouseware extensions and control panel with USB Overdrive - IT ROCKS
