I was looking on the web to buy a Radeon 8500 (right now I have a piece of S rage 128 pro), and I was shocked to see that the Mac version is about $270 while the PC version is about $140. Is it possible to use the PC card in a Mac, perhaps with flashing? Feels like a total screwing to pay $100 more for a card that does the same thing.

Mmmm, bend over...

Does anyone know specific reason why the Mac version is that much more than... the other one?

if you have an Apple ADC monitor you get screwed even more...an extra $150 for a DVIator to connect it.
