Hi

Anyone have thougts on good small OS X laserprinters. Something like the Apple 4/600 ? I need postscript and ethernet. I have a Kyocera FS-800 but I can't get it to print properly with OS X.

So I need to get something new.

Has anyone tried Lexmark -- the E322n looks like it would do the job.

Thanks - Michael

almost any of the HP series printers that offer ethernet connectivitiy. I use a LaserJet 4000, 4500, and 9000 and have no problems. You can also get into a 3200 or a 1200 for a reasonable amount of coin.

All have OS X drivers and work just fine.

My HP 2100 TN (Postscript and Ethernet) works well with Mac OS X, I suppose the same thing with the new 2200 series.

Hi

Thanks for the info. Looking at the HP site I can't see any mention of
ethernet ? Is that right ?

Thanks - Michael

there are two version of HP´s 1200 (1200 and 1200n), only the 1200n is ethernet ready, it has got the HP Jetdirect 175x to this purpose.

Note that I only saw a 1200 working with Mac OS 8.6 via USB, (you need Mac OS 8.6, earlier have not support to print via USB with Laserwriter, really you need LaserWriter 8.6.5)

Good luck!!
