Vintage and obsolete products

Apple has now made these ($400 on eBay) machines obsolete in 49 of the 50 states

PowerBook G4
Power Mac G4 Digital Audio
Power Mac G4 Quicksilver

At least the B&W G3 is still vintage.

Doesn't anyone remember when some machines couldn't support OS X but still had hardware support?

So Year 2002 seems to be the cut off date. Meanwhile, you can still run Tiger on the QS G4.

Hopefully Apple will throw out hardware requirements for OS X. If they have been trying to get Open Source approval for OS X, then they should throw out hardware requirements.

Also, Apple should take a break from making machines obsolete.
