I've ordered my new 466 G4, and am sitting here looking at the speakers until the computer arrives. Then I will have to buy a monitor. I want a 19-inch. Prices range from around $300 to more than $500. Does anyone have a recommendation?

Yes, yes, I see there is a similar topic, but I want to consider every manufacturer, not just a specific few. I have ruled out the LCD screens, although when I win the lottery I will get the 22-inch Apple. But until then, I want my 19-inch TV.

I'm very happy with my Mitsubishi Diamond Plus 91 19" monitor. It was about $500 when I got it from Outpost.com. The screen is flat, which is nice, and the only real difference between the 91 and the more expensive 900u is the lack of USB ports on the 91.
I find Mitsubishi makes great monitors. I have a low end 17" monitor connected to my other computer and it still works fine.

Another advantage of the 900u is the dual inputs for USB and Video as well. You can set it up so that when you switch between inputs it also switches all connected USB devices as well. VERY handy. I've got one and am now debating whether or not to buy a second one. (Desk space is at a premium so I may have to buy a 15" Sony)

I also purchased a Mitsubishi Diamond Plus 91 for my Mac G4 400 about 5 monthes ago. Been great!! Very happy with colors, resolution, ...all parameters. I gave about $429 for it. Only oddity is every now and then when waking the machine from sleep, everything wakes up fine except for the monitor. Haven't really looked too deeply into the issue so I don't know if it's a Mitsubishi prob or a G4 prob. I've instructed the family to power on/off the monitor, and the desktop is there waiting for use.
Oh, by the way, got it from Outpost.com (no tax, no shipping!!)
Happy hunting and good luck
Mike

I've got the Mitsubishi 900u also. Looks like all you've got here so far are Mitsubishi users. I, for one, wanted a flat screen, to eliminate reflections.
Question: if you get two 900u monitors, are you going to hook up the second one's USB to the first one? Seems to me to make more sense, depending on the situation, to get the 900i (? USB-less model?) or the 91, for the second monitor. Not so?

Thanks for your input. I ordered the Mitsubishi 19-inch flat CRT today from Outpost. It's still about $500. The IS manager at the company where I work said he gets Gateway monitors and likes them a lot (the company is all Windows). He said the Gateways are actually Mitsubishi.
