ANyone having problems with an internal iomega Zip 250 and a G4 450MP?

I'm having problems with the Finder crashing fairly often after I load a disk into my G4/350's internal 100 MB zip drive. It seems to be random--a disk will crash the finder one time, and be fine another--and I haven't a clue as to the cause.
