evening all,

i am having a bit of trouble connecting a graphite applevision17 monitor to my beige g3/233.

as the monitor uses a vga connector i have a connection adapter (which has 10 switches), however i cant seem to get the monitor to 'turn on' when connected. i have lost the little sheet that came with the connector so i am not sure which of the 10 switches to turn on/off.

if anyone maybe knows the switch combination, or any other tips they'll be greatly appreciated

oh, and i usually connect the monitor via a voodoo3 pci card at a resolution of 1280x1024, however i am hoping to give the os x pb a run, of which of course requires the monitor to run from onboard video.

again, any help GREATLY appreciated

Do you know who made the adapter? If so, give them a call...

Otherwise, try giving Griffin a call... they are very friendly and will happily help.

the adapter is use looks to be the same as the 10-switch one listed here:
http://www.national-tech.com/catalog...oradaptors.htm

i did have some success of sorts last night, if i turn all 10 switches to 'on' then the monitor turns on, but just before the dektop is about to show up it freezes. would this be related to not having the switches correct? (because putting the monitor back into the voodoo3 card and restarting, it doesn't freeze)

any help, tips will be appreciated !
