I'm looking to buy an Acard ATA RAID controller and a second 80Gb HDD...is it feasible to stripe the two 80Gb drives on one channel, and run an OEM 12Gb on the other channel by itself?

Ideally, I'd like for all three HDDs to be chained to the RAID board and the DVD drive on the onboard ATA/33 controller...

Thoughts?

I think you can only "RAID" 2 or 4 or 8, etc. devices together.

You MIGHT be able to do two RAID and a third "plain". Why not try it?
