The specs:
- brand new Que Firewire burner (I don't remember the speeds)
- Toast 4.1.2
- iMac DVSE
- OS 9.0.4
I can successfully burn .AIFFs to a CD. My iMac drive will recognize the CD and play the music. No problem.
The weirdness starts when I burn a data disc. Toast goes through the entire process without a hitch. However, when I put the CD in the iMac drive to read it, it checks the disc and spits it back out. When I look at the disc via the Que drive and Toast, it's as though nothing was ever burned on it. In fact, I was able to successfully burn audio on the same CD I thought I had burned data to.
Answers to the first questions that will be asked:
- No, the CD is not a CD-RW.
- Yes, I was using the Files and Folders setup when trying to burn data. I have used Toast at work before so I'm very familiar with the program.
Any and all help/advice is welcome.
Brian
