I picked up an IOMega ZIPCD 4x4x6 off of e-bay.

It burns my CD-RW's fine.

When I go to burn a CD-R using my $30 / 100 disks (generic) it fails
with a "Medium Error" or some other error (Sense error?) (OS9 w/ Toast)

With OSX I get an "Error Code 6" with these same CD's.

So ... off to the store I go to buy some good CD-Rs. I come home with
Maxell, Memorex, Fuji and Verbatium.

The Maxell's and the Memorex brands work fine. The Fuji and the
Verbatum fail with the same error. (Apparently it doesn't even write
anything to the disk when it fails, because I was still able to use
them on my PC based burner.)

Has anyone ever heard of a burner being THIS picky? (Or is there
something going wrong with my burner?)
