Love to hear from all you brave early adopters regarding the quality of Movies/TV shows bought from iTunes on your widescreen TV when played through Apple TV.

How would you compare it to a normal DVD?

Anyone have 720P encoded videos that can test out?

Please let us know!

Since the movies from iTMS can be played on an iPod, they're low complexity and relatively low bitrate. Most DVDs should look better than iTMS video downloads.

It just occurred to me that the USB port could be for a future Apple high def DVD player (pick HD DVD or Blueray) add-on for the Apple TV.
