I'm considering a Multilink to run my 1600 SW from the ADC port on my DP 450. ADC to DVI adapters are easy enough to come by. Has anyone successfully done this under 10.1.2 as the only connected monitor? I'm not really happy with the Formac Proformance III, even running in Classic.

Not exactly an answer for you, but my SGI 1600SW, connected to my Pismo via VGA -> multilink, runs well in OS 10.1.2. My guess is that it would run better with a ADC -> DVI connection.*

*By better I mean that I get some banding in the analog to digital conversion, which I've been told is a powerbook problem. I'd hope an all-digital connection wouldn't have this.

I have the 1600sw w/ multilink adapter connected to my G4. I have a Radeon and use the DVI connector. It works great in 10.1.2, and have had no problems.

Are you referring to some 'noise' or lines at some parts of the screen? I get them at the left side!

Thanks for the feedback.
With the Proformance III, I get some ghosting in Classic, but that only shows up in Netscape's Messenger. I haven't seen the noise or banding that others have. The larger issue is the (lack of) preview in DVD Studio.

When I boot into OS X, there's a two minute 45 second delay before anything really gets going. After that, I see the bootpanel for about 10 seconds and I'm at the loginpanel. That may be related to the 1.25 GB of RAM more than anything else. Does anyone else have startup delays like that using the Apple supplied video cards?
