I am wondering if I put a ethernet (D-link) print server on my Epson 740 and put it on my home network is there a way to print to the printer over the network and use the Epson drivers? I can use lpr or appletalk with this print server but I can't get the option of selecting the print if I use the Epson under Chooser for Appletalk, and if I LPR I can't get the Epson driver as an option.

Anyone tried this? Thanks!

Don't use the print server. Simply connect the 740 to your Mac via USB and then use the Printer Sharing control panel to enable sharing for clients on your network.

Thanks spicyjeff. I had actually thought of that but then wasn't sure how to share it with Windows machines. I guess I forgot to mention that in my message. I guess I would need to get some software solution for that? I was hoping to leave the printer on the network so I wouldn't have to have one machine running all the time.
