Avoid this peripheral, and possibly this company! I hate to diss a fairly new company to the Mac marketplace, but my experience with this external 250MB Firewire ZIP drive has been abysmal. I bought it for 2 reasons, it supposedly worked with the iMAC (which the VST equivalent does not(?), and it supposedly did not require an external power supply. My unit did not work at all with my iMac DV SE, and when I called Archos Tech Support, I was transferred to sales for them to sell me an external power supply (at $20) which would be necessary just to get my disk out of the unit. Support said "some laptops don't provide enough power". Nuf said. Back it goes.
