i bought a cd cyclone dvd revo (dvd-r/dvd-rw/cd-r/cd-rw) firewire drive about a month ago, it comes with toast 5 lite, i recieved it about 2 weeks ago and much to my dismay toast will not see the drive, in apple system profiler the drive shows up, however toast won't see it, and when i'd try to burn a cd using disc burner it would tell me none of the files (mp3's) were readable or writable, i disables the firewire authoring support, authoring support, and quicktime authoring support extensions like it suggested on the support page for cd cyclone and rebooted but still no luck, won't see the drive, so i sent the drive back to them and they never called or anything just sent it back and it's in exactly the same state, won't be seen by toast only now it also won't even be seen by itunes or anything, it's still seen by apple system profiler but that's it.

i have a powermac g4 400mhz (agp graphics) running os 9.2 and os 10.1.2

if anybody knows anything about this any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Disable all Apple Disk Burner extensions, as well as FireWire Authoring support, and USB Authoring support.
It may be that your drive is too new and they don't have support for it yet. In that case, Toast will have an update soon.
